Aerial Photography & Construction Progress Case Studies
High-stakes construction and logistics projects are often defined by the visibility they provide to stakeholders and the public. At Aerial Now, we’ve documented major Melbourne developments from the ground up — providing consistent, professional aerial imagery that keeps investors informed, communities engaged, and project records complete.
Eastland Shopping Centre Redevelopment — Construction Progress Reporting, Ringwood VIC
Eastland Shopping Centre in Ringwood is one of Melbourne’s largest retail destinations and one of the most significant commercial redevelopments in Victoria’s eastern suburbs in recent decades. The $665 million redevelopment expanded the centre’s retail floor space from 80,000 to over 113,000 m², adding a new public precinct, outdoor dining, a library, and hotel and office towers — transforming Eastland into a true town centre for the City of Maroondah.
Aerial Now was engaged to provide scheduled aerial photography across a 12-month period during the major construction phase of the redevelopment. Our brief was to deliver consistent, high-quality aerial imagery that could be used for investor reporting, stakeholder communications, and project milestone documentation.
What We Delivered
- Regular scheduled aerial photography throughout the construction program
- High-resolution imagery documenting structural progress stage by stage
- Visual assets used for investor updates and stakeholder reporting
- A consistent aerial record from early works through to practical completion

Projects of this scale generate constant demand for visual content — from board presentations to community newsletters. Having a reliable aerial photography partner on a scheduled program meant the Eastland project team always had current, professional imagery on hand, without the administrative overhead of organising ad hoc shoots.
Melbourne & Olympic Parks: Marketing & Site Monitoring
For Melbourne & Olympic Parks, our brief covered everything from social media content to high-level future planning and site monitoring. We produced a series of vertical images for their marketing materials, one of which now serves as a permanent reference in their boardroom.
Dockwise Shipping: Maritime Logistics & Port Phillip Bay Entry
When Dockwise Shipping transported the HMAS Canberra hull into Port Phillip Bay, they needed to capitalise on a massive, one-time visibility window. We captured the vessel’s entry into the bay, providing the primary visual assets for an extensive digital and social media campaign. Whether it is a multi-year retail build or a unique maritime manoeuvre, we deliver the imagery required to document these milestones and drive project communication.
