Getting someone onto a roof is expensive, slow, and not without risk. A drone roof inspection gives you clear, high-resolution images of the entire roof surface — membrane, flashings, drainage, plant and equipment — usually within a day of enquiry.

What we capture

A complete aerial record of your roof’s condition.

We fly a structured grid pattern over the roof, capturing high-resolution overlapping imagery of the entire surface. The result is a clear visual record you can use for reporting, maintenance planning, insurance, or compliance — without anyone setting foot on the roof.

01

Roof Membrane & Coating Condition

High-resolution imagery of the full roof surface showing ponding, membrane wear, cracking, blistering, and areas of visible deterioration across the roof plane.

02

Flashings, Penetrations & Joints

Close-in imagery of flashings, parapet capping, skylights, vents and pipe penetrations — common sources of leaks and a focus area for most roof condition reports.

03

Gutters, Downpipes & Drainage

Overhead views of box gutters, valley gutters, and roof drainage points showing debris build-up, blockages, and ponding that can lead to water ingress.

04

Rooftop Plant & Equipment

Aerial documentation of HVAC units, exhaust systems, solar arrays, and other rooftop plant — useful for asset registers, maintenance scheduling, and access planning.

05

Structural & Visual Damage

Visible signs of structural movement, sheeting damage, corrosion, or storm damage — captured for insurance claims, make-safe assessments, and repair scoping.

06

Before & After Works Documentation

Pre- and post-works aerial imagery for re-roofing, recoating, or remediation projects — a clear record of roof condition before and after contractor work.

Who we work with

Built for the people responsible for the building.

Drone roof inspections are used wherever someone is responsible for the condition, maintenance, or insurance of a roof — without wanting to send a person up there to find out.

Facility & Property Managers

Commercial and industrial property managers who need regular roof condition documentation for maintenance budgeting, contractor scoping, and owner reporting.

Body Corporates & Strata Managers

Strata committees and managers who need independent visual evidence of roof condition to support maintenance decisions, special levies, or dispute resolution.

Insurers & Loss Adjusters

Insurance assessors who need fast, safe access to roof-level imagery following storm events, for claims assessment without requiring a site-based roof access team.

Roofing & Building Contractors

Roofing companies and builders who use aerial imagery for scoping quotes, planning access, and documenting pre- and post-works condition for clients.

Asset & Facilities Owners

Owners of warehouses, factories, retail centres and large-format buildings who need a periodic roof condition record as part of broader asset management.

Solar & Rooftop Plant Operators

Operators of rooftop solar arrays and plant who need aerial imagery of panel condition, mounting integrity, and surrounding roof surface for maintenance planning.

Why drone over access methods

Faster, safer, and usually cheaper than getting someone on the roof.

Traditional roof inspections often mean booking scaffolding, an elevated work platform, or a roof access contractor — with lead times, working-at-heights compliance, and weather dependency. A drone inspection removes most of that.

Safety

No working-at-heights exposure

Nobody needs to access the roof. That removes fall-risk, harness and access-equipment requirements, and the associated paperwork and approvals.

Speed

Booked and flown within days

No need to hire EWPs or scaffolding, or coordinate trade access. In most cases we can schedule and complete the inspection within a few business days of enquiry.

Coverage

The whole roof, every time

A structured aerial pass covers the entire roof plane consistently, rather than relying on a person walking sections of roof and visually checking as they go.

Pricing

Quoted to fit your roof and access requirements.

Every roof is different — area, number of buildings, access, and the level of detail required all affect pricing. Tell us about the building and we’ll come back with a clear quote, usually within one business day.

Pricing depends on roof area, number of buildings, access, and the level of detail required — confirmed before booking. Larger roof areas, multiple buildings, thermal imaging, or regional Victoria locations are quoted individually.

How it works

From enquiry to roof report — in days, not weeks.

No scaffolding to book, no roof access permits, no waiting on contractor availability. We handle the flight, you receive the imagery.

01 — Enquire

Tell us about the building.

Send us the site address, approximate roof size, and what the inspection is for — maintenance, insurance, pre-purchase, or contractor scoping. We’ll confirm pricing and timing.

02 — Schedule

We arrange access and airspace.

We coordinate any site access requirements and confirm airspace clearance for the location, then schedule the flight around suitable weather conditions.

03 — We fly

A structured pass over the full roof.

The drone flies a grid pattern over the roof, capturing overview and close-in imagery of the whole surface, drainage points, plant, and any areas of concern.

04 — Delivery

Images in your inbox within 48 hours.

High-resolution images organised by roof area, ready to forward to your roofing contractor, insurer, or property management system.

Common questions

Drone roof inspections — answered.

Can a drone inspection replace a hands-on roof inspection?

For visual condition assessment — membrane wear, drainage, flashings, debris, visible damage — aerial imagery covers most of what a visual roof walk would identify. Some issues (soft spots, internal moisture) may still require a hands-on assessment by a roofing contractor.

Do you need access to the building or roof?

Generally no. The drone operates from ground level near the building. We may need brief access to a car park or open area nearby to launch and land safely.

What size roofs can you inspect?

From single commercial buildings to large industrial roofs and multi-building sites. Larger or more complex roofs are quoted individually based on area and the level of detail required.

Can this be used for an insurance claim?

Yes. Dated, high-resolution aerial imagery is commonly used by insurers and loss adjusters to assess storm or weather-related roof damage without requiring immediate roof access.

How quickly can an inspection be arranged?

For most Melbourne metro locations we can typically schedule within a few business days, weather permitting. Priority scheduling is available for insurance and storm-response inspections.

Do you cover regional Victoria?

Yes, on request. Regional sites are quoted individually to account for travel, and we’ll confirm any additional cost before booking.
